AIDS Day

The National Trade Union Centre in the UK  held a seminar on December 1st to mark the event to “highlight and celebrate the role of trade unions in defending the interests and rights of affected colleagues and their communities and explore ways of further enhancing their achievements”. It was attended by special speakers including head of Unison international relations, Nick Sigler; Daniel Owasu Boatey HIV/AIDS co-ordinator, Ghana TUC; Kay Carberry, TUC assistant general secretary, Mike Foster MP parliamentary under-secretary of state for international development. Additionally Lord Bill Morris chaired the event.
