Worldwide Protest

On 7th of January United Airlines Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO (AFO –CWA), conducted a worldwide protest. Flight attendants protested in Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, New York and Tokyo-Narita. Attendants had been promised a new contract by 7th January of this year. In 2010 they are working at 1994 wage levels and are working 48% more compared with 2002 schedules. Greg Davidowitch, president of AFA-CWA at United Airlines, has commented: “For too long this management has expected flight attendants to work harder for less. No more! Flight attendants vow to do whatever it takes to get the contract we have earned.”
