The Trades Union Congress (TUC) and the BARAC campaign (Black Activists Rising Against Cuts) have united to demonstrate against the cuts in public spending forecasted by the UK government.
On the 14th of October, the Race Relations Committee of the TUC and BARAC agreed to unite to demonstrate against the policy of cuts initiated by the Con-Lib coalition in the British government.
Thus, on the 20th of October there will be a march outside Downing Street, which aims to protest, in a special way, against the cuts in public spending which will affect the working situation of the black community and workers negatively.
The TUC have brought together 58 unions and 6.2 million workers in the whole of Great Britain, among which are Unison, Unite, GMB and PCS.
