Quito’s festivities and sport come to London

Next Saturday the 4th of December, England’s capital will play host to two events commemorating the festival of the city and capital of Ecuador, Quito. Both have been organised by the Network of Friends of the Ecuadorian House.

 The first is organised by the group “Quintenos in the UK” and will be held at the headquarters of the Ecuadorian House in London, located on Kings Cross Road (WC1X 9DU). There will be a tournament of 40, a card game originating from Ecuador, as well as a variety of music from 4pm.

Meanwhile the Latin American East London League have organised a musical event beginning at 8pm at the Aksi Lounge (Southend Road, E6 2AA). A lively evening is promised with the Ecuadorian singer and DJ Cristian Abel Jr performing.

 On the other hand, the Ecuadorian house in London is planning to organise several workshops for sports leaders and organisers from December the 11th.

The first will be held on the same day and will discuss the “Interpretation of the Rules of Football and the relationship between the referee and manager”. The following day, another workshop will focus on “Human Relations and Leadership in the sports area.” The series will conclude on the 18th of this month with a group workshop on “The application of the rules in the game of football.”

Further to this, the Ecuadorian House plans to organise various activities in Elephant and Castle for International Migrants Day on December 18th, festivities will include arts, music and documentaries.
