The ‘Cuban Rumbón’ returns to London

It’s one of the most original Cuban dance festivals in London. This year it will be held on the 12th June at the Nueva Costa Dorada Club.

It will be an authentic Cuban night where revellers can experience music from the best salsa, timba and reggaeton DJ’s and enjoy live performances from some of the best Cuban musicians living in the UK.

On its fourth anniversary, the Rumbón Cubano will feature live music from Jesús Cutiño & Son de Cuba, a band which over the last eighteen months has established itself as one of the most influential and important Latin groups in the UK.

During this time, the group has developed an original repertoire and an innovative sound fusing traditional Cuban sounds with mambo, jazz, samba, flamenco and reggaeton.

For his part, DJ Green Papi, from Oriente Star Sound, will be playing a wide range of Cuban music such as changüí, montuno sound, salsa, timba and timbatón. The night will also include Cuban dance classes for all levels courtesy of teacher Osbanis Tejeda.

Date and place: 12th June, 7.00 pm. Nueva Costa Dorada. 47-55 Hanway Street, W1T 1UX, London. Reserve on-line at http://www.cubacheche.co.uk/.
