Baila Londres

This month, this Cuban salsa party, which is a monthly event, includes music by DJ Green Papi and a dance class by ´The Professor´ Ariel Rios Robert.

Paola Andrea Blanco Buitrago

Cubacheche and Timberos de Londres present Baila Londres, an event which gives people the chance to enjoy a selection of salsa, timba, son, reggaeton, bachata, merengue, funky, house and much more.

There are salsa classes for all levels and this month guest teacher Ariel Rios Robert will present his popular Afro-Rumba.

Ariel has vast experience as a teacher at many different presentations.  He is a professional dancer who has led classes and presentations in a number of cultural centres.

This month there will be the chance to learn some new moves which are becoming popular  in Cuba right now, where the evening will include different Cuban influences such as Cha Cha Cha, mamba, rumba and reggaeton.

The guest DJ will be DJ Green Papi, who has been surrounded by music for his whole life.   He was born in Guantanamo (Cuba) where he was exposed to different types of Afro-Caribbean rhythms which led to him creating his Oriente Star Sound connecting the Caribbean and Flavas. Funk is also a common denominator in Green Papi´s music.

Without a doubt, Cuba´s best DJs will be serving up the best music out there, old classics and new melodies straight from the streets of Havana to London.

For more information about the dance classes – which will run from 9pm to 10pm – please consult the following link:

Date: Saturday 26th November. Venue: Charlie Wright’s International Bar – 45 Pitfield Street – London -N1 6DA, 5 minutes from Old Street underground station, exit 2.
