United States: A little positive force for the world

On the 10th of May, a programme run by Mehdi Hasan will discuss the conviction with three-time American Pulitzer Prize winner Tom Friedman.

The political director of The Huffington Post UK and host of the Al Jazeera English programme The Café will lead a programme focused on analysing US policy today.

In particular, Mehdi Hasan, a journalist and co-author of “Ed: The Miliband’s and the Making of a Labour Leader” will focus on discussing whether the United States is a force for good in the world.

For this the conference will rely on the presence of the journalist and author Thomas Loren Friedman, dedicated journalist whose work has had him named winner of the Pulitzer Prize three times.

In turn, he is the author of several books dealing with subjects as diverse as globalisation (“The world is flat”), the political situation in the Middle East (“From Beirut to Jerusalem”) or the attacks of the 11th of September (“Longitudes and attitudes”).

The programme, which will later be televised worldwide on television Al-Jazeera English, aims to address whether the actions undertaken by the United States are carriers of peace or not.
