Shambolics around the UK this autumn

Following the announcement of their signing to Alan McGee’s fresh new label, Scottish four-piece group will unveil their new single: ‘Chasing A Disaster’, the stunning, sunshine-dappled debut release from the band on Creation23 records.

Backed with breezy B-Side ‘Fight Another Feeling’, the two tracks will be available on 1st November 2019 as vinyl-release and digitally.

Both tracks were written, recorded and produced by the band themselves at their own Eggman Studios, Dunfermline.

Already hailed by label owner and mentor Alan McGee as “one of the great Scottish bands”, Shambolics are a fervently ambitious outfit from Scotland ready to take on the World.

Shambolics have a knack for artfully honed and irresistibly dreamy rock’n’roll that calls to mind the indelible sounds of the genre’s lauded masters, from The LA’s to The Beatles.

The band scooped the 2017 SAMA Award for ‘Best Rock/Alternative Act’ and have continued on an upwards trajectory ever since.

From earning critical acclaim from press tastemakers including BBC Scotland (Vic Galloway), This Feeling, Radio X, Virgin Radio (Edith Bowman) & Fred Perry Subculture, to sharing huge stages with the likes of The Sherlocks & The View performing at some of the UK’s biggest festivals including Isle of Wight Festival, Tramlines Festival and Reading&Leeds Festival.

Shambolics glitter with all the hallmarks of a band destined for greatness.

In 2019, Shambolics’ ascent continues with the band tallying-up in excess of 250,000 Spotify plays for recent demo “When She Goes Home” and count unforgettable SOLD OUT shows at some of Scotland’s most legendary gig spaces including Glasgow’s King Tuts and Edinburgh’s Mash House among their achievements.

It was only matter of time before word of the Shambolics became music to the ears to one of Glasgow’s most musically in-tune sons: Alan McGee.

It wasn’t long before McGee snapped up the band for his label.

Speaking about what attracted him to signing the band to Creation23, McGee says: “’Scottish indie music is having a renaissance at the moment and I was so glad I came up to Edinburgh to see the Shambolics live. After I saw them I just had to sign them. One of the best Scottish artists out there. A classic creation band. Big tunes and they look great!”.

Following a series of major festival appearances over the Summer including Y-Not Festival (Derbyshire), Indian Summer Festival (Glasgow) and Truck Festival (Oxfordshire), the band now set their sights on a string of live shows around the UK this Autumn.

Shambolics are: Lewis McDonald  Vocals/Guitar; Darren Forbes – Vocals/Guitar; Jordan McHatton, Vocals/Bass; and Jake Bain, Vocals/Drums.

Dates: September: 8, 19 and 21. November: 6, 7 and 8. For more information about dates and times: Facebook.
