A pesar del impacto de la globalizaci\u00f3n y la Iniciativa del Cintur\u00f3n y Ruta de la Seda, la poblaci\u00f3n hispana sigue siendo peque\u00f1a en comparaci\u00f3n con la gente del mundo del habla inglesa y otros pa\u00edses asi\u00e1ticos. Sin embargo, esta dosis no les impide ir a explorar este pa\u00eds oriental desconocido.<\/em><\/p>\n

En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, la conexi\u00f3n entre China y el mundo hispano se ha hecho m\u00e1s frecuente y multidimensional. El Instituto Confucio ha sido introducido en muchos pa\u00edses latinos y en Espa\u00f1a, miles de estudiantes van a estudiar a China a trav\u00e9s de becas financiadas por el gobierno cada a\u00f1o y el espa\u00f1ol se convierte en uno de los segundos idiomas extranjeros m\u00e1s populares para aprender.<\/p>\n

The Prisma <\/strong>se puso en contacto con varios estudiantes de intercambio actuales en la Universidad de Estudios Internacionales de Shanghai (SISU), uno de los institutos de lenguas extranjeras m\u00e1s selectos del mundo. Ellos compartieron con nosotros sus experiencias en este pa\u00eds extranjero.<\/p>\n

Dado que muchos de ellos no hablan nada de mandar\u00edn o han empezado a aprender el idioma, ellos prefieren usar el ingl\u00e9s en la vida cotidiana. Milena, una joven de Costa Rica, manifiesta: \u201cA parte de la gente que estudia en SISU, es muy dif\u00edcil encontrar a un ciudadano chino que hable bien ingl\u00e9s\u2026 y en cuanto a espa\u00f1ol, esto es imposible\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"\"Aunque no existe una barrera ling\u00fc\u00edstica entre estudiantes chinos e internacionales en la universidad, ellos todav\u00eda tienden a quedarse dentro de su propia comunidad.<\/p>\n

Janier, un estudiante colombiano declara: \u201cLos chinos son muy t\u00edmidos y por eso no se socializa mucho\u2026 en mi pa\u00eds somos mucho m\u00e1s c\u00e1lidos\u201d.<\/p>\n

Milena, as\u00ed como Carol, una estudiante de chino de Barcelona, afirma que la diferencia cultural no les impide mezclarse con los lugare\u00f1os, pero en realidad, apenas se familiarizan con ellos. Como Janier, la mayor\u00eda de sus amigos hablan espa\u00f1ol. Aparte de algunos eventos organizados por la embajada, ninguno de ellos afirma haberse unido a ning\u00fan tipo de organizaci\u00f3n hispana, a pesar de que un decente n\u00famero de ellos viven y estudian juntos.<\/p>\n

Hablando de su parte favorita de Shanghai, Carol adora la modernidad de esta metropolitana y est\u00e1 fascinada con los rascacielos, Milena agradece el ambiente liberal y Janier disfruta explorando museos, parques y restaurantes.<\/p>\n

\"\"A pesar de que su experiencia en China ha sido mayormente positiva, Milena fue ofendida una vez en Harbin, la capital y la ciudad m\u00e1s grande de la provincia de Heilongjiang: \u201cUn hombre dijo en chino que volviera a mi pa\u00eds\u201d. \u201cDescubrimos que el conductor (no nos entend\u00eda)\u201d; ella muestra su comprensi\u00f3n: \u201cHab\u00eda gente que se quedaba en el autob\u00fas y era bien entrada la noche\u201d.<\/p>\n

Como ciudadana china, creo que este tipo de xenofobia fortuita y ataque verbal es principalmente el resultado de la ignorancia de la poblaci\u00f3n incauta. Esto es causado por la ausencia de correcci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica y la falta de entendimiento de la tensi\u00f3n racial. <\/a>China ha logrado un milagroso crecimiento econ\u00f3mico y nivel de vida, pero a\u00fan le queda un largo camino por recorrer para un avance de progreso cultural e ideol\u00f3gico y para hacerse m\u00e1s inclusiva para aquellos expatriados.<\/p>\n
