Join us for the fall<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Natacha Andueza Bosch<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El 21 de noviembre el Museo Brit\u00e1nico de Londres abri\u00f3 sus puertas para mostrar una exposici\u00f3n patrocinada por <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bp.com\/\">British Petroleum (BP)<\/a>, llamada: <em>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.britishmuseum.org\/exhibitions\/troy-myth-and-reality\">Troy: myth and reality\u201d. <\/a><\/em>\u00a0Por ello <a href=\"https:\/\/bp-or-not-bp.org\/\">\u00bfBP o no BP?,<\/a> una organizaci\u00f3n activista con sede en Londres, pondr\u00e1 en marcha una de las m\u00e1s grandes acciones de protesta que se hayan llevado a cabo en el famoso museo brit\u00e1nico de la capital londinense.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bp-or-not-bp.org\/\">BP or not to BP?<\/a> aprovechar\u00e1 esta oportunidad para expresar su descontento hacia las industrias petroleras que usan el arte y cultura como caballo de Troya para ocultar sus actividades.<\/p>\n<p>Por su parte, el sindicato del Museo brit\u00e1nico reconoci\u00f3 que el cambio clim\u00e1tico era uno de los grandes problemas mundiales de nuestro tiempo. Sin embargo, el museo ha seguido apoyando y promoviendo a la compa\u00f1\u00eda de petr\u00f3leo.<\/p>\n<p>Por ello los organizadores de la protesta llenar\u00e1n el museo brit\u00e1nico de personas, accesorios, disfraces y otros elementos sorpresa, incluyendo un caballo de Troya, para recalcar los problemas creados por la BP y mostrar otras injusticias, con el fin de hacer caer a la compa\u00f1\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-159478\" src=\"https:\/\/tucuentavip.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/west-oill-petrole-e1472985423650.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"428\" height=\"373\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/west-oill-petrole-e1472985423650.jpg 651w, https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/west-oill-petrole-e1472985423650-229x200.jpg 229w, https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/west-oill-petrole-e1472985423650-63x55.jpg 63w, https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/west-oill-petrole-e1472985423650-650x567.jpg 650w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 428px) 100vw, 428px\" \/>\u201cNuestras instituciones art\u00edsticas p\u00fablicas no deber\u00edan estar impulsando el poder de la industria de combustibles f\u00f3siles en medio de una crisis clim\u00e1tica\u201d, se\u00f1ala <a href=\"https:\/\/bp-or-not-bp.org\/\">BP or not to BP?<\/a><\/p>\n<p>El objetivo principal de la protesta es impactar tanto a los miembros del museo como a su p\u00fablico y, de este modo, poner fin al trato con la compa\u00f1\u00eda petrolera y reducir el impacto de est\u00e1 en la crisis clim\u00e1tica.<\/p>\n<p>Por otra parte, la organizaci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n se manifiesta en contra de la no devoluci\u00f3n de los artefactos provenientes de distintas regiones del mundo que se encuentran en el museo y que fueron robados, muchos a\u00f1os atr\u00e1s.<\/p>\n<p>Pero, \u00bfpor qu\u00e9 contra la BP?<\/p>\n<p>La compa\u00f1\u00eda planea gastar 41.000 millones de libras explotando nuevo petr\u00f3leo en los pr\u00f3ximos diez a\u00f1os, poniendo en marcha pozos y canales que har\u00edan imposible alcanzar el objetivo de mantener una temperatura de 1,5 grados para limitar el calentamiento global.<\/p>\n<p>Por otro lado, BP ha estado trabajando con el gobierno turco para construir el gasoducto transanatolia (TANAP) a trav\u00e9s de Turqu\u00eda. El gasoducto se extiende a unas 75 millas del sitio de la antigua Troya destinado a traer gas f\u00f3sil de Azerbaiy\u00e1n a Europa.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, el oleoducto no ha experimentado serias protestas similares en su ruta a trav\u00e9s de Turqu\u00eda, mientras que en otras s\u00ed. <a href=\"https:\/\/bp-or-not-bp.org\/\">BP or not to BP?<\/a> cree que esto se debe a la represi\u00f3n anti-protesta por parte del gobierno turco.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-175613\" src=\"https:\/\/tucuentavip.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Hidroelectric-agua-noche-oro-petroleo-pixabay.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"428\" height=\"285\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Hidroelectric-agua-noche-oro-petroleo-pixabay.jpg 306w, https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Hidroelectric-agua-noche-oro-petroleo-pixabay-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Hidroelectric-agua-noche-oro-petroleo-pixabay-83x55.jpg 83w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 428px) 100vw, 428px\" \/>No obstante, cuando se empez\u00f3 a construir el oleoducto BP anterior, llamado Bak\u00fa-Ceyhan en 2003, hubo una campa\u00f1a internacional organizada vinculada con activistas sobre el terreno para oponerse a \u00e9l.<\/p>\n<p>A principios de este a\u00f1o, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/culture\/2019\/jul\/16\/trustee-resigns-from-british-museum-over-bp-sponsorship-and-artefacts-repatriation\">Ahdaf Soueif<\/a> renunci\u00f3 como administradora legal del Museo Brit\u00e1nico en protesta al acuerdo de \u00e9ste con la empresa BP.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan la organizaci\u00f3n activista, encuestas han mostrado que la mayor\u00eda del personal del Museo Brit\u00e1nico y la mitad de los londinenses quieren acabar con este patrocinio. Por otro lado, el pasado octubre, la Royal Shakespeare Company decidi\u00f3 terminar su acuerdo con BP debido a las protestas que se realizaron ante el cambio clim\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, a la multinacional brit\u00e1nica la siguen patrocinando distintos tipos de instituciones art\u00edsticas como <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npg.org.uk\/\">la Galer\u00eda Nacional de Retratos<\/a>, el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencemuseum.org.uk\/\">Museo de Ciencias<\/a> y la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?client=safari&amp;rls=en&amp;q=royal+opera+house&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;oe=UTF-8\">Royal Opera House.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Quiz\u00e1s, despu\u00e9s de esto, el Museo Brit\u00e1nico sea el siguiente en la lista en abandonar a la gran marca global.<\/p>\n<p>Fecha y lugar: s\u00e1bado, 8 de febrero 12 h.
