Un carruaje decorado por cuatro caballos lo est\u00e1 esperando y el grupo local de motociclistas fascistas se re\u00fane tambi\u00e9n para saludarlo.<\/p>\n<p>El grupo de motociclistas aparece en una sub-trama que involucra a un profesor retirado que se ha convertido en ermita\u00f1o en las afueras de la ciudad.<\/p>\n<p>Este bot\u00e1nico de fama mundial sufre una crisis intelectual, habiendo perdido toda creencia en la ciencia emp\u00edrica y busca inmunizarse a s\u00ed mismo del pensamiento como soluci\u00f3n radical a su p\u00e9rdida epistemol\u00f3gica de la fe.<\/p>\n<p>El profesor restringe su pensamiento a unas pocas horas al d\u00eda, de 3 a 5 p.pm, filosofando para s\u00ed mismo sobre las matem\u00e1ticas de Cantor y los infinitos m\u00faltiples. \u00c9l ha concluido que la ciencia s\u00f3lo puede manejar lo que es finito y considera el miedo, la vida y la muerte como una explicaci\u00f3n vital de la triste situaci\u00f3n de la humanidad.<\/p>\n<p>Surge una similitud reveladora entre las reflexiones nietzscheanas del profesor y la compresi\u00f3n del bar\u00f3n de que su regreso a casa s\u00f3lo ofrec\u00eda una ilusi\u00f3n de encontrar alg\u00fan significado a su vida.<\/p>\n<p>Ambos personajes alcanzan un punto terminal en su conciencia de la locura de la existencia; no pueden entender por qu\u00e9 tienen que existir.
