La llegada al pa\u00eds de la enfermedad conllev\u00f3 al despliegue de toda la comunidad cient\u00edfica y dem\u00e1s instituciones para su contenci\u00f3n. Se necesitaban entonces, con urgencia, herramientas para su diagn\u00f3stico y seguimiento. Los avances hoy son muy importantes.<\/em><\/p>\n

La b\u00fasqueda de nuevos casos de la Covid-19 para su mejor control constituye una de las prioridades del sistema sanitario cubano.<\/p>\n

Durante la epidemia para diagnosticar un caso se estudiaron 96,4 pacientes y en las \u00faltimas semanas, para su detecci\u00f3n fueron realizadas 671 pruebas, detall\u00f3 el Ministro cubano de Salud P\u00fablica Jos\u00e9 \u00c1ngel Portal, en un balance sobre la evoluci\u00f3n de la enfermedad en los \u00faltimos d\u00edas. Hasta hace una semana el pa\u00eds acumulaba 240 mil 894 muestras realizadas y dos mil 469 positivas, o sea, el 1,02 por ciento y se han aplicado<\/p>\n

21.2 pruebas confirmatorias PCR en tiempo real por cada mil habitantes.<\/p>\n

A la par, el total de kit r\u00e1pidos ascend\u00eda a 199 mil 244, lo que representa 17,8 pruebas de este tipo por cada mil personas.<\/p>\n

Para conseguir un mejor rastreo de casos, cient\u00edficos cubanos pondr\u00e1n a disposici\u00f3n del Sistema Nacional de Salud otros tres kits para el diagn\u00f3stico de la Covid-19, vitales herramientas para el seguimiento y detecci\u00f3n de la enfermedad.<\/p>\n

Transcurridos cuatro meses de presencia del nuevo coronavirus en Cuba constituye una necesidad la realizaci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s pruebas, de hecho en los \u00faltimos d\u00edas el n\u00famero de muestras analizadas superan a diario las dos mil y se espera que se multipliquen las cifras.<\/p>\n

La primera de las elaboradas es el Umelisa Sars-CoV-2 IgG, est\u00e1 a disposici\u00f3n ya del Sistema Nacional de Salud desde el pasado mes de mayo y se utiliza para los estudios de seroprevalencia y prevalencia que lleva adelante el pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

El resto, que se desarrolla al un\u00edsono, completa el grupo de cuatro diagnosticadores de producci\u00f3n nacional que lleva adelante el Centro de InmunoEnsayo, instituci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica adscrita al grupo empresarial BioCubaFarma.<\/p>\n

Desde finales de julio las instituciones sanitarias cuentan con las pruebas, una para la identificaci\u00f3n de IgM, y la destinada a detectar anticuerpos totales (IgG,IgM, IgA).. o sea, su presencia conjunta.<\/p>\n

Al concluir el octavo mes del a\u00f1o tendr\u00e1n adem\u00e1s el kit de ant\u00edgeno, la prueba confirmatoria, que identifica la presencia del SARS-Cov- 2, \u00fanica en Cuba para estos ex\u00e1menes junto al PCR en tiempo real.<\/p>\n

Los IgG, IgM e IgA?<\/strong><\/p>\n

En declaraciones a la Prensa Irinia Valdivia, una de las autoras de este proyecto, explica que al enfrentarse una persona con un agente infeccioso, se desata una respuesta inmunol\u00f3gica de nuestro organismo.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Se trata de identificar todos esos anticuerpos, el IgM, el primero en ofrecer una respuesta y el IgG, con m\u00e1s duraci\u00f3n en el tiempo y capaz de conferir alguna inmunidad, o sea, que no haya otra infecci\u00f3n con ese agente.<\/p>\n

Los kits constituyen una bater\u00eda para detectar diferentes analitos o componentes inmunol\u00f3gicos en una muestra, que aportar\u00e1n informaci\u00f3n sobre qu\u00e9 etapa o momento de la enfermedad se encuentra el paciente, si se ha recuperado, si su sistema inmunol\u00f3gico ha respondido, explica.<\/p>\n

Ofrecer\u00e1n detalles sobre el por ciento de la poblaci\u00f3n que ha estado en contacto con el virus, as\u00ed como sobre cu\u00e1ntos a\u00fan son vulnerables, o sea, que ante un brote son susceptibles a enfermar y quienes tienen una cierta protecci\u00f3n, pues ya estuvieron en \u00a0contacto con el agente pat\u00f3geno.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s aportan datos para determinar en una poblaci\u00f3n determinada el grado de trasmisi\u00f3n por asintom\u00e1ticos o en un grupo abierto,\u00a0 en un municipio o conjuntos de personas de riesgo como embarazadas, dializados, entre otros.<\/p>\n

Valdivia dice que ello permitir\u00e1 a las autoridades sanitarias\u00a0 definir acciones a llevar a cabo ante futuros eventos.<\/p>\n
