Estudi\u00f3 Derecho con especialidad en Econom\u00eda en su ciudad natal y m\u00e1s tarde curs\u00f3 el M\u00e1ster Europeo en Derechos Humanos y Democratizaci\u00f3n en Venecia y Budapest. En el a\u00f1o 2008 tuvo la oportunidad de marchar a M\u00e9xico, donde desarroll\u00f3 una importante labor colaborando con mujeres de comunidades pobres.<\/p>\n

En concreto, desarroll\u00f3 su trabajo en la ciudad de Celaya, en el estado de \u00a0Guanajuato, como asesora de grupos de mujeres para aconsejarles sobre temas sociales, econ\u00f3micos y de salud. \u201cSon mujeres con problemas de autoestima, que sufren en sus hogares casos de violencia dom\u00e9stica y necesitan un apoyo especial\u201d, se\u00f1ala.<\/p>\n

Otra de las importantes labores desarrolladas por el proyecto en el que trabaj\u00f3 consist\u00eda en ofrecer apoyo econ\u00f3mico a trav\u00e9s de la concesi\u00f3n de microcr\u00e9ditos a estas mujeres con el objetivo de financiar la creaci\u00f3n de peque\u00f1os negocios o la inyecci\u00f3n de capital de los que ya eran propietarias.<\/p>\n

\"\"Reconoce que muchos maridos presentaron problemas porque no ve\u00edan con buenos ojos la ayuda que recib\u00edan sus mujeres.<\/p>\n

Guarda y cuenta con pasi\u00f3n sus recuerdos de M\u00e9xico tanto los buenos como los malos pero, sobre todos ellos, destaca el trato personal. \u201cLa gente es incre\u00edble. Te abren sus puertas, son muy generosos y siempre te tratan como a uno m\u00e1s de la familia\u201d, asegura. Al mismo tiempo, tambi\u00e9n rememora las sensaciones amargas, en particular por el sentimiento de lejan\u00eda con su familia.\u00a0Tuvo la oportunidad de visitar en noviembre de 2004 los campos de refugiados de la comunidad Saharaui en el desierto del Sahara gracias a un grupo de trabajo organizado conjuntamente por los \u2018Consejos de la Juventud, vasco, espa\u00f1ol y catal\u00e1n. Junto con otros activistas convivi\u00f3 y colabor\u00f3 con los refugiados en el campamento de Dajla y viaj\u00f3 a Esmara para despu\u00e9s manifestarse, pac\u00edficamente, frente al \u2018muro de la verg\u00fcenza\u2019.<\/p>\n

Al igual que en su experiencia mexicana, destaca por encima de todo la generosidad de la gente humilde.<\/p>\n

\"\"En el a\u00f1o 2008 viaj\u00f3 a Pristina, la capital de Kosovo, con sus compa\u00f1eros de estudios de postgrado, dos semanas antes de que este territorio declarase su independencia de Serbia. All\u00ed convivieron con la comunidad albanokosovar, donde un puente separa a \u00e9sta de la zona serbia.<\/p>\n

Asegura que sinti\u00f3 \u201cel odio\u201d que existe entre las dos comunidades, pero se declara \u201cmuy afortunada\u201d de haber podido conocer estas realidades. Con estas experiencias a sus espaldas est\u00e1 convencida de que \u201cno debemos vivir centrados en nuestro mundo, en nosotros mismos y preocuparnos s\u00f3lo de nuestro circulo\u201d. \u201cA pesar de las injusticias y de los malos momentos me quedo con el continuo aprendizaje y con la generosidad de la gente\u201d, concluye.
