Es en Han\u00f3i, la capital de la naci\u00f3n indochina, donde se encuentra la sede de la Compa\u00f1\u00eda Thang Long (Drag\u00f3n Volador) de Vietnam, m\u00e1s conocida por su teatro de marionetas acu\u00e1ticas y reconocida como una de las instituciones culturales m\u00e1s antiguas del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

Lo cierto es que las marionetas acu\u00e1ticas vietnamitas constituyen un espect\u00e1culo \u00fanico en el mundo que pone en juego la habilidad, la fuerza y la capacidad de los titiriteros.<\/p>\n

Solo de generaci\u00f3n a generaci\u00f3n pasa el secreto de manipulaci\u00f3n de los mu\u00f1ecos, los cuales con tama\u00f1os de hasta 50 cent\u00edmetros de alto y 15 kilogramos de peso, obligan a una depurada preparaci\u00f3n f\u00edsica y una destreza rayana en la perfecci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Las marionetas son talladas en madera de higuera resistente al agua, con una durabilidad de entre tres y cuatro meses.<\/p>\n

Un estanque lleno de agua turbia impide a la mirada curiosa de los espectadores apreciar los mecanismos que mueven a los mu\u00f1ecos actores, representantes de escenas de la vida cotidiana rural de Vietnam o a criaturas m\u00edticas como dragones y unicornios e incluso reyes y otros personajes de la historia del pa\u00eds indochino.<\/p>\n

A las evoluciones escenogr\u00e1ficas las acompa\u00f1an una banda de m\u00fasicos, cuyos cantantes e instrumentistas amenizan y complementan los cuentos, representaciones y actuaciones que incluyen desde lo imaginario hasta temas pr\u00e1cticos actuales.<\/p>\n

Ese teatro de t\u00edteres tambi\u00e9n escenifica rituales como el festival de percusi\u00f3n, el preludio del Teu, t\u00edtere popular que encarna las cualidades t\u00edpicas del pueblo vietnamita, la danza de las hadas y la de los cuatro animales sagrados (el drag\u00f3n, el le\u00f3n, la tortuga y el f\u00e9nix).<\/p>\n

Aunque los artistas se quedan detr\u00e1s de una cortina y no ven bien las herramientas sumergidas, sus prolongaciones realizan movimientos incre\u00edbles como dragones que expelen fuego por sus fauces, mariposas voladoras o la de un joven montado sobre un b\u00fafalo de agua mientras toca una flauta. Las marionetas acu\u00e1ticas de la naci\u00f3n indochina iniciaron su andadura con figuras m\u00f3viles a las que los lugare\u00f1os les atribu\u00edan poderes m\u00e1gicos y que se colocaban en los cultivos de arroz para alejar a las fieras y el mal tiempo.<\/p>\n

Se dice que las primeras surgieron hace unos mil a\u00f1os en el delta del R\u00edo Rojo en Vietnam, o sea, en una zona cercana a Hanoi, la capital, donde, por cierto, funciona el m\u00e1s grande y prestigioso teatro de este tipo.<\/p>\n

La manifestaci\u00f3n art\u00edstica evolucion\u00f3 durante siglos hasta convertirse en uno de los espect\u00e1culos m\u00e1s originales, innovadores y exclusivos, a lo cual se apega con fidelidad la compa\u00f1\u00eda Thang Long de Hanoi (Drag\u00f3n Volante de Hanoi) desde su fundaci\u00f3n, en 1969, la cual se present\u00f3 en La Habana con un grupo de 19 artistas seleccionados entre los m\u00e1s diestros.<\/p>\n

La danza de los mu\u00f1ecos en el agua que es como denominan los vietnamitas a esa forma peculiar de hacer teatro, se ha convertido en parte de la identidad cultural del pa\u00eds asi\u00e1tico, un hecho que tom\u00f3 en cuenta la Unesco para incorporarlo a la lista de Patrimonio Intangible de la Humanidad.<\/p>\n

Los artistas y sus mu\u00f1ecos han viajado a m\u00e1s de 40 pa\u00edses de cinco continentes. Se han conservado testimonios que se refieren a funciones realizadas durante la dinast\u00eda Tran (1225-1400), un periodo de franco florecimiento cultural, dentro de la cual las letras vivieron una \u00e9poca de esplendor.<\/p>\n

Al iniciador de la dinast\u00eda, el rey Tran Th\u00e1i T\u00f4ng (1218-1277) se le adjudican comentarios referentes a ese g\u00e9nero teatral: \u00abTodo el mundo puede ver con claridad que las marionetas de madera dependen de mecanismos y de cuerdas para crear sus movimientos. Son capaces de moverse y bailar como si fueran seres humanos y pueden parar cuando las cuerdas se aflojan\u00bb.<\/p>\n
