Las vidas ajetreadas desalientan la reflexi\u00f3n sobre lo que puede parecer una parte m\u00e1s del mobiliario urbano, y es f\u00e1cil racionalizar la indiferencia con pensamientos innobles sobre la dif\u00edcil situaci\u00f3n de la persona acurrucada y lo que puede haberla causado.<\/p>\n

Las fotograf\u00edas de Anthony Dawton<\/a> de algunos de los sin techo en \u201cNOT London\u201d <\/em>son un impactante recordatorio de que los cuerpos son los de individuos con nombre y vida, que luchan por sobrevivir y merecen respeto. Las fotograf\u00edas de Dawton no son voyeuristas ni explotadoras. Pide permiso para cada una de las fotograf\u00edas del libro, explica la naturaleza de su proyecto y vuelve con una huella de la persona en cuya vida se ha metido.<\/p>\n

En la medida de lo posible, llega a saber algo sobre ellos y las diferentes razones de su falta de hogar. Bill, fotografiado en Southampton Street, abandon\u00f3 su hogar y a su mujer tras una ruptura matrimonial y llevaba m\u00e1s de dos meses viviendo en la calle cuando fue fotografiado.<\/p>\n

Tras mudarse a un alojamiento temporal, escribi\u00f3 a Dawton para agradecerle la fotograf\u00eda \u00abcomo un agradable recuerdo de una \u00e9poca oscura y sombr\u00eda\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Para otros, vivir sin hogar se convierte en un estado permanente de existencia. Rebecca, fotografiada frente a la estaci\u00f3n de metro de South Kensington, lleva tres a\u00f1os sin casa.<\/p>\n

Le cuenta a Dawton de que su novio la ech\u00f3 de su vivienda y que toma metadona.<\/p>\n

Emma lleva cuatro a\u00f1os en la calle, menos tiempo que su amiga CJ, que reconoce estar \u00abdemasiado apegada al alcohol\u00bb. Reconocen una de las fotograf\u00edas de Dawton como la de una amiga com\u00fan, Hayley, que hab\u00eda muerto un par de semanas antes. Hayley no es la \u00fanica persona de este libro que ha muerto desde que fue fotografiada.<\/p>\n
