Los a\u00f1os pasaron y hoy en 2014, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uvwunion.org.uk\/es\/\">United Voices of the World (UVW).<\/a> tiene m\u00e1s de 10.000 trabajadores de m\u00e1s de 100 nacionalidades. Todos sus miembros saben que, como ellos afirman, \u201cnuestro poder reside en nuestra fuerza colectiva\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Y es gracias a la unidad en la acci\u00f3n, como se\u00f1ala un portavoz de UVW, que sus miembros han conseguido mejorar las condiciones laborales en centros de trabajo de todo el Reino Unido, han creado y participado en m\u00e1s de 53 campa\u00f1as para conseguir igualdad, dignidad y respeto en el trabajo y hoy son el primer sindicato del Reino Unido en poner fin a la externalizaci\u00f3n en la educaci\u00f3n superior y el NHS.<\/p>\n<p>Varios han sido sus logros, y uno de ellos fue la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uvwunion.org.uk\/es\/campanas\/london-school-of-economics\/\">primera huelga que se realiz\u00f3 en la London School of Economics<\/a>. Ocurri\u00f3 en 2016 y se organiz\u00f3 para acabar con la externalizaci\u00f3n en la educaci\u00f3n superior. Fue la mayor huelga de limpiadores de la historia en ese momento. Famosa mundialmente como la LSE fue apodada la Escuela de Explotaci\u00f3n de Londres durante la huelga.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, en 2019, realizaron <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uvwunion.org.uk\/es\/campanas\/st-marys-hospital\/\">en el Imperial Trust (St Mary&#8217;s), la primera huelga<\/a> para acabar con la externalizaci\u00f3n en el NHS y primera ocupaci\u00f3n de un hospital en el transcurso de una huelga. Al igual que en la LSE, la huelga termin\u00f3 con la conversi\u00f3n de los trabajadores en empleados directos.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-259947\" src=\"https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Trabajador-workers-capitalismo-obrero-Pixabay-3-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"465\" height=\"310\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Trabajador-workers-capitalismo-obrero-Pixabay-3-1.jpg 960w, https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Trabajador-workers-capitalismo-obrero-Pixabay-3-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Trabajador-workers-capitalismo-obrero-Pixabay-3-1-431x287.jpg 431w, https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Trabajador-workers-capitalismo-obrero-Pixabay-3-1-862x575.jpg 862w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 465px) 100vw, 465px\" \/>Ese mismo a\u00f1o dio comienzo una larga batalla <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uvwunion.org.uk\/es\/campanas\/the-royal-parks\/\">contra Royal Parks<\/a>.\u00a0 Otra instituci\u00f3n de gran prestigio contrataba a una empresa francesa que solo pagaba el salario m\u00ednimo. Las huelgas consiguieron que se pagara a los trabajadores el London Living Wage, lo que supuso un aumento del 31%.<\/p>\n<p>A ra\u00edz de esto, la UVW gan\u00f3 la primera demanda legal de la historia argumentando que la subcontrataci\u00f3n es una discriminaci\u00f3n racial indirecta ilegal, ya que los trabajadores internos eran casi todos blancos y cobraban salarios m\u00e1s altos (que se ver\u00e1 en el Tribunal de Apelaci\u00f3n el 20 de febrero). Otro \u00e9xito es el sucedido en <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uvwunion.org.uk\/en\/campaigns\/great-ormond-street-childrens-hospital\/\">el Great Ormond Street Hospital<\/a>, pues all\u00ed se dio la segunda disputa para acabar con la externalizaci\u00f3n en el NHS. En 2023, tras una segunda batalla, consiguieron la plena paridad con el personal del NHS.<\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uvwunion.org.uk\/es\/campanas\/huelgas-trabajadorxs-migrantes-y-mal-pagadxs-contraatacan\/\">la coordinaci\u00f3n simult\u00e1nea de 8 huelgas en 2023<\/a>, el mayor n\u00famero de huelgas coordinadas de UVW.
