Y lo hizo porque est\u00e1 convencida de que esta revoluci\u00f3n debe ser femenina.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-200893 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/La-rebelion-protesta-manifesta-revolucion-gente-Pixabay-3-e1593378024923.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"472\" height=\"312\" \/>Santiago Masetti<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>La prefecta de Pichincha fue contundente en estos tiempos en que el movimiento de mujeres en toda su diversidad se ha convertido en algo as\u00ed como el sujeto hist\u00f3rico de las transformaciones econ\u00f3micas, sociales y pol\u00edticas por las que claman millones de personas en Am\u00e9rica y el Caribe y en el mundo entero.<\/p>\n<p>En ese sentido, Paola Pab\u00f3n Caranqui explica qu \u00a0\u201cPor esas madres que todos los d\u00edas paran la olla, por esas abuelas que se han quedado a cuidar de sus nietos, por eso esta revoluci\u00f3n es feminista y seguir\u00e1 siendo feminista\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Paola es una destacada figura pol\u00edtica ecuatoriana, reconocida por su militancia activa en Revoluci\u00f3n Ciudadana (RC). Desde sus inicios, mantuvo un firme compromiso con el progresismo y la defensa de los derechos sociales, lo que le permiti\u00f3 ocupar diversos cargos p\u00fablicos: asamble\u00edsta y secretaria de Estado durante el gobierno de Rafael Correa (2007-2017), entre otros.<\/p>\n<p>En octubre de 2019, en el contexto de las protestas contra las medidas neoliberales del gobierno de Len\u00edn Moreno, Pab\u00f3n fue detenida y liberada 71 despu\u00e9s, gracias a que la Asamblea Nacional le reconoci\u00f3 una amnist\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-273898 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Ecuador-ciudad-noche-luces-Pixabay.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"474\" height=\"316\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Ecuador-ciudad-noche-luces-Pixabay.jpg 896w, https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Ecuador-ciudad-noche-luces-Pixabay-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Ecuador-ciudad-noche-luces-Pixabay-431x288.jpg 431w, https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Ecuador-ciudad-noche-luces-Pixabay-862x575.jpg 862w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 474px) 100vw, 474px\" \/>En su rol como prefecta de Pichincha, Pab\u00f3n logr\u00f3 ser la primera mujer reelecta en ese cargo, destac\u00e1ndose por su liderazgo y capacidad de gesti\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Su reelecci\u00f3n refleja la confianza que los ciudadanos de la provincia m\u00e1s importante de Ecuador tienen en su capacidad para generar pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas con un enfoque social y de g\u00e9nero.<\/p>\n<p>En junio de 2023, Pab\u00f3n fue electa presidenta del Consorcio de Gobiernos Provinciales del Ecuador, cargo que ocupar\u00e1 hasta junio de 2025. Ese nombramiento, respaldado por los dem\u00e1s gobernadores del pa\u00eds, subraya su influencia y liderazgo en el \u00e1mbito nacional. Adem\u00e1s, se extiende a nivel regional, donde cuenta con el apoyo de sectores progresistas de toda Am\u00e9rica Latina.<\/p>\n<p>A nivel internacional, Pab\u00f3n ejerce la Vicepresidencia Mundial de Ciudades y Gobiernos Locales Unidos (CGLU) y es integrante del Grupo Consultivo sobre Gobiernos Locales y Regionales, designada por el Secretario General de Naciones Unidas (ONU), Ant\u00f3nio Guterres.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-263311\" src=\"https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Ecuador-gente-campesinos-trabajador-latinoamerica-Pixabay.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"473\" height=\"348\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Ecuador-gente-campesinos-trabajador-latinoamerica-Pixabay.jpg 960w, https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Ecuador-gente-campesinos-trabajador-latinoamerica-Pixabay-272x200.jpg 272w, https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Ecuador-gente-campesinos-trabajador-latinoamerica-Pixabay-100x75.jpg 100w, https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Ecuador-gente-campesinos-trabajador-latinoamerica-Pixabay-216x160.jpg 216w, https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Ecuador-gente-campesinos-trabajador-latinoamerica-Pixabay-431x317.jpg 431w, https:\/\/theprisma.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Ecuador-gente-campesinos-trabajador-latinoamerica-Pixabay-862x634.jpg 862w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 473px) 100vw, 473px\" \/>Esos roles le han permitido participar activamente en la formulaci\u00f3n de pol\u00edticas globales y en la defensa de los gobiernos locales y regionales.<\/p>\n<p>Su precandidatura a la presidencia de Ecuador lleva la promesa de liderar un Estado que gobierne en beneficio de todos los ecuatorianos, en respuesta a las demandas de una naci\u00f3n que exige pol\u00edticas serias para salir de la asfixiante situaci\u00f3n en la que se encuentra.<\/p>\n<p>Dentro de RC los otros precandidatos que aparecen en escena son Luisa Gonz\u00e1lez, quien fue candidata en la \u00faltima elecci\u00f3n contra Daniel Noboa (ganador) y el periodista Carlos Rabascall, quien seg\u00fan analistas no contar\u00eda con el agrado del ex presidente Rafael Correa.<\/p>\n<p>De acuerdo con el calendario electoral ecuatoriano, luego de las elecciones internas que se realizar\u00e1n el 10 de agosto pr\u00f3ximo, tendr\u00e1n lugar los comicios generales, previstos para el 9 de febrero del a\u00f1o que viene.
