Nada es, como dicen, \u00abdado\u00bb\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Johnny pregunta con bastante raz\u00f3n si esto es lo que se quiere decir cuando se habla de posmodernismo y recibe una respuesta inmediata: \u00abEn realidad, no\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Aunque se nos dice que el debate contin\u00faa, el lector no tiene acceso al resto de la conversaci\u00f3n y nunca llega a saber qu\u00e9 postura se defiende si no es la posmodernista.<\/p>\n<p>Este tipo de opacidad caracteriza las conversaciones que conforman gran parte de la obra \u2014la novela podr\u00eda adaptarse al teatro, con varios personajes entrando y saliendo\u2014 y, curiosamente, empieza a atraer al lector. Johnny recuerda el Nuevo Laborismo y las emocionantes perspectivas que ofrec\u00eda la aplastante victoria electoral de Tony Blair.
