Tras exiliarse en Chile y Argentina, Alu\u00edzio regres\u00f3 a Brasil y, en la d\u00e9cada de 1990, se hab\u00eda convertido en activista de derechos humanos. Su b\u00fasqueda de los cuerpos de los militantes asesinados bajo la dictadura lo convirti\u00f3 en una figura p\u00fablica.<\/p>\n<p>Animado por la elecci\u00f3n del gobierno de extrema derecha de Bolsonaro en 2019, una antigua p\u00e1gina de Facebook publicada por Alu\u00edzio sobre el abuso de poder de Ostrovski fue utilizada para demandarlo por difamaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>La historia de la vida de Alu\u00edzio Palmar est\u00e1 escrita por Jacob Blanc, quien lo conoci\u00f3 cuando la demanda se hizo p\u00fablica. Tras el golpe militar de 1964, \u00e9l y otros estudiantes formaron un grupo clandestino llamado MR-8. Tras pasar dos a\u00f1os en prisi\u00f3n, fue uno de los sesenta y nueve presos pol\u00edticos liberados a cambio del embajador suizo secuestrado. Dos cap\u00edtulos est\u00e1n dedicados a sus a\u00f1os en el exilio, cuando su militancia le oblig\u00f3 a pasar a la clandestinidad, hasta que regres\u00f3 a Brasil e inici\u00f3 la b\u00fasqueda de seis militantes desaparecidos\u00a0 por el r\u00e9gimen militar en 1974.<\/p>\n<p>La biograf\u00eda concluye con un an\u00e1lisis del juicio de 2019: El juicio contra Alu\u00edzio, escribe Blanc, \u00abera sintom\u00e1tico de una doble injusticia.
