Foto de Jessica Garfiel.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p data-start=\"1538\" data-end=\"1890\">La m\u00fasica del \u00e1lbum combina a m\u00fasicos sudafricanos de generaciones anteriores como Miriam Makeba y Madosini con artistas experimentales contempor\u00e1neos como Bj\u00f6rk, FKA Twigs y Pamela Z, dando como resultado una obra musical que desaf\u00eda un \u00fanico g\u00e9nero, abarcando el future folk, el jazz espiritual, el g\u00f3spel, la electr\u00f3nica experimental y el post-punk.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1892\" data-end=\"2235\">El trabajo de Dumama en este \u00e1lbum se centra en el instrumento tradicional xhosa de arco, el \u2018uhadi\u2019, un arco que utiliza el pecho de la int\u00e9rprete como resonador, y lo combina con grabaciones de campo y distorsiones vocales que exploran las vidas negras, el tiempo circular, la l\u00f3gica antiimperialista, el duelo y la reivindicaci\u00f3n ancestral.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2237\" data-end=\"2365\">Dumama se dio a conocer a nivel global con su obra de 2020 <em>\u201cBuffering Juju\u201d<\/em>, una colaboraci\u00f3n con el artista sudafricano Kechou. Ese disco cuenta la historia del viaje de una mujer tras ser liberada de prisi\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de un ejemplo del llamado \u201cnomadic future folk\u201d, que combina la tradici\u00f3n ac\u00fastica en estado puro con la electr\u00f3nica moderna.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2367\" data-end=\"2640\">El lanzamiento de su nuevo \u00e1lbum est\u00e1 acompa\u00f1ado por un video musical dirigido por Jessica Garfield y la confirmaci\u00f3n de presentaciones de Dumama en festivales como Rewire Festival, BDCST Festival y Nuits Sonores, con otros escenarios por anunciarse m\u00e1s adelante en el a\u00f1o.\u00a0Soundway Records es el sello discogr\u00e1fico que lanza esta obra art\u00edstica de Dumama.
