\u00bfQu\u00e9 podr\u00eda representar la \u00abaguja\u00bb en el mundo actual? \u00bfC\u00f3mo puede un enorme camello pasar a trav\u00e9s de ella \u00abm\u00e1s f\u00e1cilmente\u00bb? \u00bfEs completamente un sin sentido?<\/p>\n

En nuestra cultura, quiz\u00e1s en la mayor\u00eda de las culturas, los ricos se muestran como la personificaci\u00f3n de lo mundano y tal vez del \u00e9xito espiritual. La gente envidia a los acomodados y quieren lo que ellos tienen. Los ricos llevan consigo poder y estatus. La habilidad de influenciar a la gente. Pero tambi\u00e9n conlleva restricciones. La mansi\u00f3n cercada de vallas met\u00e1licas, con perros, con seguridad, y con miedo al robo y al terrorismo.<\/p>\n

Suelen ser personas egoc\u00e9ntricas y crueles. Llegan a lo m\u00e1s alto con su personalidad dura y agresiva. Los psic\u00f3logos denominan a este tipo como personalidad psic\u00f3tica (tipo \u00abP\u00bb).<\/p>\n

Muchos de ellos no se encuentran en prisi\u00f3n o en unidades psiqui\u00e1tricas. Se encuentran en el Parlamento o en los negocios, donde la crueldad y la agresividad son condiciones sine qua non. Son educados, seguros, incre\u00edblemente geniales. Son ganadores.<\/p>\n

Para los hombres, es el viaje de la vida impulsado por la testosterona, casi literalmente. En una cultura que valora tal crueldad, ellos se despiertan, se levantan y se aprovechan de estos valores y estructuras sociales que los permiten.<\/p>\n

\"\"Se convierten en Reinhard Heydrich, el oberf\u00fcehrer, <\/em>yendo a trabajar en su limosina descapotable y anunciando a sus subordinados su poder y estatus. \u00bfPasar\u00e1 esta gente por el ojo de la aguja? \u00bfQuerr\u00edan hacerlo de todas formas?<\/p>\n

\u00a1Es por ello que importa lo que hay al otro lado del ojo de la aguja! Mientras exista el ansia de poder y estatus, por encima de todo, \u00bfpor qu\u00e9 deber\u00edan tales adictos querer cambiar de una manera tan considerable? Es por esto, lo que se encuentra al otro lado de la aguja. Este es un mundo en el que el mito de que la felicidad se encuentra en poseer y consumir muchas cosas, que adem\u00e1s pueden traer un r\u00edo constante de dicha- se cuestiona y se acoge con escepticismo. Esa celebraci\u00f3n no se desprecia \u2013 no en absoluto. De hecho, es un lugar donde una celebraci\u00f3n m\u00e1s profunda, incluso de las cosas peque\u00f1as, es posible.<\/p>\n

Esto no es el opio del pueblo, pero es un lugar donde el pensamiento cr\u00edtico puede unirse a la alegr\u00eda, aunque pudiera parecer parad\u00f3jico.<\/p>\n

\"\"El logro m\u00e1s humilde de un ni\u00f1o discapacitado se puede celebrar tanto como el del mejor cient\u00edfico, artista o ingeniero.<\/p>\n

Puede ser que el aprecio del p\u00fablico es toda la gloria y honor que un pol\u00edtico u hombre de negocios conseguir\u00e1 jam\u00e1s.<\/p>\n

El otro lado de la aguja es un mundo donde el \u00e9xito del m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o se celebra. Esto no implica que la conciencia del proletariado sea la que mide toda la verdad. Uriah Heep nos recuerda todo esto y nos da una importante lecci\u00f3n. Al otro lado de la aguja, lugar que lo ricos hacen dif\u00edcil de alcanzar, existe otro mundo donde las nociones de honor y gloria son completamente diferentes.<\/p>\n
