Trump, a legitimate but immoral and xenophobic victory

Donald Trump’s political-electoral victory is legitimate, but it carries with it the weight of the immorality that accompanies the former Republican president’s sub judice status for the crimes of conspiracy to defraud the US government, obstruction of an official proceeding and conspiracy to violate civil rights.

Added to this impudence are xenophobia, racism and misogyny, attitudes and ways of thinking typical of a rich white man who, knowing that he is an (im)moral standard for millions of US citizens, feels he has the right and freedom to dehumanise immigrants, particularly Latin Americans, and to insist on the processes of male domination over women’s bodies.

Trump’s return to the White House is the triumph of the Aryan conservatives who, in assuming themselves to be the “victims” of “savage” migrants, forget that US foreign policy and interference in the destinies of the countries of the global south generate the hated migrations towards American territory. These migrants survive in their countries martyred by an economic globalisation that naturalises the obscenity of a capitalist system that feeds on the inexhaustible source from which immorality springs: the human condition.

The needs and dreams of these millions of migrants to “get ahead” serve the purposes of a corrupt migration system that is sustained by the costly “pardons” they must apply for with the migration authorities. The US immigration authorities are the bureaucratic wild card of Republicans and Democrats.

Trump’s triumph ends up validating the immorality of a universal civilisational project that, despite its evident damage and socio-environmental and ecological effects on the Earth, will continue to extend over time. And it will do so until technical, scientific and technological developments put developed countries like the United States in post-nature stages, where ethical crises and moral confusions will be assumed as the ruins of a human being no longer subdued by archaic disciplining and controlling institutions, but by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the devices associated with the creation of these new citizens. Of these citizens it will be said that they “evolved” because they were able to leave behind the ethical and moral disquisitions that still make it possible for millions of human beings to question who will return to the White House to continue playing at being the great sheriff of the planet.

The defeat of Kamala Harris is suffered by women in its universal dimension, for their bodies are still under the control of the justice apparatus, the churches and the powerful men who order them what to do with them and under what circumstances. The guarantee of human reproduction will continue to be tied to the desires of domination and the moral values of a patriarchal system founded on the inexhaustible immorality of the human condition. Moral and ethical codes end up being insufficient manuals of good will for a vicious human condition that never ceases to surprise us.

Addendum: socialism is also an immoral system because, like capitalism, it draws from the same source of immorality: the human being.
