Boa Nova Festival will be organised for the first time ever as a testament to the breadth, diversity, and vibrancy of Brazil’s contemporary music scene, and will be set across two stages, featuring exclusively Brazilian artists with performances taking place in the afternoons and evenings.
Stars like João Gomes – singer of the popular hit “Meu Pedaço de Pecado” – Mari Froes, known for songs like “Vaitimbora” and “Figa de Guiné”, and Liniker, an LGBTQ+ icon who won her first Latin Grammy in 2022, are headlining. This unique London event is rounded out by a varied lineup featuring names like DJ Patife, a pioneer of Brazilian Drum and Bass known for mixing Jungle and Samba, and new voices like Th4ys and DJ Caio Prince, representatives of modern Brazilian club and street music.
The Columbo Group, a popular live music venue and nightclub in Camden, London, is organising the festival as one of the highlights of the UK/Brazil Season of Culture 2025–26, a cultural exchange between the British Council and Brazil’s Instituto Guimarães Rosa.
The organisers said that “after years of sold-out shows at the Jazz Cafe for London’s Brazilian community, we’re excited to bring our most ambitious lineup yet to an outdoor celebration of Brazilian music this May Bank Holiday.” Attendees can expect a lively and colourful experience, with samba drumming providing a carnival atmosphere, while Brazilian Axé and Funk performances showcase the dynamic music scene of Latin America’s largest country. The event will also bring authentic dishes and flavours, offering attendees a taste of Brazil’s rich culinary heritage.
